Policy & Outreach Manager
Chanel A. Nestor is currently the Lecturer in Rural Sociology at NC A&T State University and is the founder of NC Always, a creative community engagement and event development consulting entity. Chanel has experience in Homeownership Policy, Poverty Alleviation, Food System Planning and Rural Community and Economic Development. Chanel has a passion for Southern African-American history, arts, and culture. Based in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, she is a documentarian at heart with a mission to serve the public.
Chanel serves as the Policy & Outreach Manager for Carolina Creative Works. In this role she helps ensure equitable engagement strategies and comprehensive outreach to underserved communities. She also provides policy guidance to clients on a number of issues ranging from food systems to economic development and assists in educational programs and workshops to support communities in their outreach & engagement campaigns.
