10% Pledge: Giving Back Every Year
Carolina Creative Works is proud to donate 10% of our profits each year to community organizations in Western North Carolina and Raleigh, North Carolina, our two hometowns. In 2019, we support BandTogetherNC, a nonprofit that raises funds for community projects through live music. This year alone, BandTogetherNC has raised over $1 million for the Inter-faith Food Shuttle Child Food Hub in Durham, North Carolina.
Our second pledge this year, selected by Emily’s daughter, is the Catman2 Shelter in Jackson County, NC. Catman2 is a private, no-kill, no-cage shelter for abandoned cats from across Western North Carolina, open since 1996. You can learn more about their work here.
tools & resources
Great engagement takes a long term commitment to building public trust.
Trust is not built by adding yet another app or widget, but by taking a more holistic approach to our interactions with the public. PublicInput.com gives agencies – and those who work with them – a toolkit to succeed at every step of community engagement.
we support businesses we care about
CCW orders print materials from the internet’s only green printing services, Overnight Printing. All the paper used comes from trees harvested under the Sustainable Forest Initiative. Additionally, Overnight Prints invested in waterless printing – a cutting edge press technology that is considerably safer for the environment and the people who work in printing facilities. The majority of printing companies still operate outdated print presses that use toxic chemicals and consume over 25,000 gallons of water per month!
We also support a Raleigh, NC-based print shop for our t-shirt and sticker printing: House of Swank is a locally-owned print shop that also sells some great NC gear (if you want to get into the barbeque arguments, or learn how to pronounce all the weird places in North Carolina, check them out).
